Rocky Mountain National Park was established in 1915, making it our 9th American National Park. This is the first place I had ever experienced true high alpine environments when visiting, and later moving to Colorado. The park covers over 250,000 acres and is compromised of several different ecological zones, making it home to a wide variety of flora & fauna. I have had full on religious experiences in this park, and I’m making a point to photograph as many of the ~150 alpine lakes within its boundaries as I possibly can. I have visited the glacier gorge region of the park the most, and that is certainly reflected in this gallery.
